Velvita Gold – The new premium peaches of ASEPOP Velventos

Premiere today for the new premium peaches of ASEPOP Velventos. Velvita Gold is introduced to the consumer public from today and marks a new era for the Velvento peach.

In a very beautiful event at the Athens Central Vegetable Market in Renti, the new brand and varieties of Velvita Gold were presented to representatives of the retail trade, the vegetable market, journalists, ETHEAS and the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, yesterday evening, Wednesday 3 July, by the leaders of ASEPOP Velventos.

As emphasized during the presentation by the President of ASEPOP Velventos, Mr. Koutliampas Nikolaos, “We wanted to create a new brand different from what is on the market, with the Velvita seal. For us, Velvita means family… it is our producers, our members, our history, our executives, our partners… These will accompany our new brand.”

What is Velvita Gold? ASEPOP Velventos, a pioneer in everything related to table peaches, is promoting 13 new varieties of peaches and nectarines (6 peaches – 6 nectarines and 1 variety of white-fleshed nectarine) that come from Spain and are cultivated in Greece exclusively in Velventos by ASEPOP producers. The agreement signed in 2018 between ASEPOP Velventos and VIVEROS PROVEDO in Spain concerns the exclusive concession for cultivation and exploitation for Greece and Cyprus of the EXTREME varieties.

The goal is to create a palette of varieties of the same color, taste and of course quality for the entire period of peach harvest and consumption. Velvita Gold is here to achieve this.

Velvita Gold will be available for sale initially from the Central Vegetable Market of Athens, where ASEPOP Velventos has a branch.
